A West Annapolis eatery known for its healthy and local options is moving to a new location on Jennifer Road, according to a report in The Capital. The b.b. Bistro restaurant is leaving its spot on eclectic Annapolis Street to a larger and cheaper location at the Annapolis Plaza, in between Jo-Ann Fabric and Crafts and HH Gregg. The new location is near Trader Joe's, where the owners used to work. Owner Carla Lucente said the move was partially necessitated by a rise in rent. Currently known for breakfast and lunch, the bistro and coffee shop may extend its daytime hours and open on Saturdays at the new location. Read about b.b. Bistro's plans in The Capital. It started with two women working at Trader Joe’s. Carla Lucente started a catering business on the side, and her co-worker and friend Stacey Jackowski began helping her. “We got along so well. We were very efficient together. I wish BB Bistro the best of luck in their new place. The menu is unique and tasty but I only hope that and "flavor" of the decorations will not change. The mixed tables and chairs, the quotes on the wall - all added to the charm of the place where I have been eating since it opened. (I hate that word "outdated!") At least parking will be a little easier.   more ›
