Nicole Houston, Advertising Manager
Born and raised in a small town just outside of Flint, MI, Nicole graduated from the same high school as rabble-rousing filmmaker Michael Moore. She headed south for sunshine and Southern charm and landed at Middle Tennessee State University near Nashville, where she was a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and the Native American Journalist Society. Nicole spent her college years reporting news on-air for the local TV station and graduated from MTSU with degrees in Electronic Media, Mass Communications and Psychology.
Nicole is a digital media guru. She’s skilled in strategic digital advertising approaches, social media and search engine optimization. Her experience includes working with local businesses in the Hampton Roads, VA market as the advertising executive for WTVZ in Norfolk, where she helped businesses grow and thrive with her creative approach to advertising.
Nicole’s passion for the local grassroots Patch motto stems from her background in journalism and her upbringing in a family of hard-working small business owners.
In her spare time, Nicole enjoys golf, canvas painting and spending quality time with her Sheppard-mix pup, Cecil. Any given day you’ll find her posted up working at a Starbucks in the Crofton area or knocking about the cobblestone streets of Annapolis being “Patchy.”
She is the advertising manager of the Annapolis, Anne Arundel, Broadneck, Crofton, Severna Park, Bowie, Odenton-Severn, Glen Burnie and Edgewater-Davidsonville Patch sites. Nicole would love for you to reach out to her for any questions you have regarding Patch advertising and how digital advertising can boost your local business!
