Shots Fired At Home, Vehicles In Annapolis Area Over Past Week: Police

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — Gunshots were fired at a home and four vehicles over the past week in the Annapolis and Arnold areas, county police said.

There were no reports of injuries in any of the three cases.

Officers said the first shots were fired at an Arnold home on July 18 around 10:30 p.m.

An unknown dark-colored sedan approached the home in the 400 block of Broadwater Road. The car's occupants then fired multiple shots toward the home, authorities said.

Police said they found evidence of the shooting at the scene.

The next shots were fired Saturday around 11:45 p.m. in the 1400 block of Hayes Road in Annapolis, officers said. That's located in the Yorktown neighborhood near Sandy Point State Park.

Authorities said the caller reported hearing what they thought were fireworks but went outside and found at least two vehicles that were shot and damaged.

Police said they found evidence of the shooting near the intersection of Hayes Road and Yorktown Road.

Arnold saw gunfire again Sunday around 1 a.m., officers said.

Multiple callers reported that a tan or silver sedan was driving up and down Kimwood Road with at least one occupant firing a gun from the car, authorities said.

Police said they found two vehicles that were struck by projectiles.

Officers said they found evidence of the shooting near the intersection of Kimwood Road and Heartwood Court.

The Anne Arundel County Police Department is investigating whether the cases are related.
