ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD - School starts this month, so two car shows will collect supplies for students this weekend.

The shows, happening in Annapolis and Edgewater, will benefit students in Anne Arundel County Public Schools.

Annapolis

Residents are invited to Cars & Coffee this Sunday at the Westfield Annapolis mall. The event runs from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the parking lot of the former Sears Auto, located near the food court entrance.

Registration is free on site. Planners only ask that participants and attendees bring school supplies to donate.

The event will feature the Mid Atlantic Venom Mustangs & Muscle Cars Club, food trucks, a DJ and family activities.

More information is posted here.

Annapolis will also host the Carriages On West Street car show on Sunday. That event, which runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., is free to the public. This show isn't collecting school supplies, however.

More details on the West Street show are posted here.

Edgewater

The Anne Arundel County Police Department invited the community to Cars, Coffee & Cops this Saturday in Edgewater.

The Annapolis Elks Lodge will host a motorcycle and car show from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. The lodge is located at 2 Pythian Drive.

Attendees will stuff a police cruiser with school supplies.

Email Cpl. Daywalt at p91868@aacounty.org for more information.

AACPS students start class the week of Monday, Aug. 28. The first day varies by grade. The school calendar is posted here.
