ANNAPOLIS, MD - A man was shot and hospitalized Thursday evening in Annapolis, police said. The victim is listed in stable condition.
Authorities said the shooting happened around 7:35 p.m. in the unit block of Bens Drive. That's located in the Bay Ridge Gardens apartment complex near the intersection of Bay Ridge Avenue and Forest Drive.
Eye On Annapolis reported that a medevac helicopter flew the victim to shock trauma.
A large fight also broke out after the shooting, Eye On Annapolis said.
The Annapolis Police Department is still looking for the unknown suspect.
Annapolis has seen shots fired 55 times this year, the city's gun violence dashboard said Friday morning. That includes nine homicides, 20 shootings with injuries and 26 with no injuries.
The dashboard lists the Bens Drive victim as a 24-year-old.
