ANNAPOLIS, MD - The Brass Tap wants to open another Annapolis bar, the Baltimore Business Journal reported on Nov. 30.

The craft beer bar previously had a location at the Westfield Annapolis mall across from California Pizza Kitchen. The Brass Tap said it closed that upscale pub in August 2022. The Original Pancake House filled The Brass Tap's vacancy this spring, so the bar would need a new home.

The Baltimore Business Journal reported that The Brass Tap is now targeting an expansion from Richmond, Virginia to Philadelphia. That includes seven potential bars in Maryland that could open over the next three to five years, the BBJ said.

The Business Journal said The Brass Tap is considering opening in undisclosed locations in Annapolis, Columbia, Ellicott City and the Washington, D.C. suburbs. Franchise owners have been selected, but no finalized locations have been announced.

The Brass Tap already has five Maryland locations in Baltimore, Belcamp, California, National Harbor and Towson.

To learn why Brass Tap franchises cost $791,000 to $1.3 million to launch, read the Business Journal's full story. That article is only available to subscribers, however.
