ANNAPOLIS, MD - Uptown Cheapskate is closing its Annapolis clothing store on Feb. 4.

The chain plans to reopen again soon in an undisclosed location nearby.

The store is known as a trendy place where customers can buy and sell discounted and gently used clothes.

It is located in the Festival at Riva shopping center at 2327 Forest Drive Suite A. Uptown Cheapskate is sandwiched between Party City and Massage Envy Spa.

Uptown Cheapskate has been open in Annapolis for more than 10 years, Eye On Annapolis reported.

"All good things must come to an end, and unfortunately that applies to our time at the Festival," Uptown Cheapskate said in a Friday Facebook post announcing the news. "We are in the process of securing a new location in the area and will make an announcement via social media shortly! We thank you for your years of patronage and look forward to seeing you in our new location soon!"

Uptown Cheapskate has more than 100 locations nationwide, including another six in Maryland. All of those shops are slated to remain open.

The other Maryland stores are:

  • Bel Air
  • College Park
  • Ellicott City
  • Rockville
  • Salisbury
  • Timonium

Customers shared their memories of Uptown Cheapskate.

"Your store was my gateway into shopping and selling consignment almost a decade ago, love what you all do and I hope you find a great new home!" Jill Bellenger replied on Facebook.

Lindsay Pearson shared the same feelings.

"Oh no! Hoping you find a new place asap!" Pearson commented. "My daughters are gonna be lost without this place."
